About Us
The inspiration for MEkey Emergency USB ICE ID Tags came during the planning for a 4000 mile motorbike trip which took in nine countries throughout Europe.
The designer wanted something that could do several jobs all in one easily carried device. It had to contain medical and emergency details that could be easily accessed, it had to be able to store vital scanned documents (in this case – scanned images of bike insurance, mot certificate, V5 vehicle registration, passport, motorbike manual, copies of tickets, full travel insurance documents) and once finished the product had to cater for other sports and activities.
Above all it had to be easily noticed – every one of our products clearly shows the paramedic star with staff and snake along with ICE (In Case of Emergency).
It was clear old medical ID jewellery needed bringing bang up-to-date. Biker ID tags, Runner ID, Cycling ID are all sports where MEkey ICE ID tags just work.
Since the initial development MEkey ICE have designed and released several different options for carrying your Personal Emergency Medical Record. USB ID Cards to fit in a wallet / purse or pocket, traditional style Dog Tags, Wooden Tags,the MEkey ICE ID wristband and our waterproof keyring / pendant
Along with motorbike tours the people behind MEkey also ski, climb, hill walk and at times are lone workers so they know the importance of ‘In Case of Emergency’ or ICE.

Who We Are
We are a small independent business based in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England. All our software and products have been designed by us and are supported by us.
We are slowly getting people to understand the idea of ICE (In Case of Emergency) which was originally coined by paramedic Bob Brotchie in 2005.
We love motorcycling and that’s how our business started, we also ski, climb, hill walk and at times are lone workers so know the importance of ICE.
